Help us celebrate the end of Prohibition on Tuesday, Dec. 5 with our Repeal Party
The Brokaw is proud to announce that the theatre and Mad Anthony Brewing Company will be hosting an event on Tuesday, Dec. 5 to celebrate the anniversary of Prohibition's repeal. We'll be showing a double feature of The Smiling Lieutenant, the first movie shown at The Brokaw when it opened in 1931, and the 1987 classic The Untouchables. Our bar will be hosting a Tap Takeover featuring Mad Anthony Brewing Company, Chapman's Brewing Company, LaOtto Brewing Company, Birdboy Brewing Company, and Goshen Brewing Company. Three Rivers Distilling will be a special guest, as will some local wineries. Tickets will cost $8 for the double feature or $5 for a single movie. The Smiling Lieutenant plays at 5 p.m., while The Untouchables will play at 7 p.m. The doors to the theatre will open at 4 p.m. We will release more details as they emerge.

Me and my friends somehow helped you in your celebration of the end of prohibition by watching a movie whose name is “ The Untouchables”. We really enjoyed this movie. We had a great fun. This was a fantastic movie.

Despite some concerns, The Brokaw Theatre & Mad Anthony Brewing Company will host this event to celebrate the anniversary of Prohibition's repeal. One of the highlights of the event will be a presentation by Mad Anthony Brewing Company describing their history and their connection to the repeal of Prohibition. However, some believe that this event will be a waste of time and money. Despite this, the Brokaw Theatre & Mad Anthony Brewing Company will host this event to honor South Bend's rich history and to celebrate the anniversary of Prohibition's repeal.
