Senior Movie Day Is Set For August 23
Our next Senior Movie Day presented by Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation will be Wednesday, August 23 at 3 p.m. It's open to those age 60 and over. Attendees will receive free admission to the movie of their choice, a free small popcorn, and a free small soda all courtesy of Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation. The Senior Movie Day showings will be Dunkirk and The Big Sick.
The Big Sick Starts Friday, August 18
The Big Sick tells the true story of Pakistan-born stand up comic Kumail, who connects with grad student Emily after one of his standup sets. What they thought was a one-night thing blossoms into the real thing, and is complicated by Kumail's traditional Muslim parents. Further complicating matters is Emily's mystery illness, which forces Kumail to navigate the crisis with her parents. The movie has scored 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. com and is a critic's pick of the New York Times.
